Breakfast/lunch restaurant is looking for a creative, energetic individual for our kitchen. You will be working in a first-class kitchen with all new equipment. We are a family business focused on professionalism and excellence looking for a candidate who wants to prepare dishes with the best ingredients with a focus on local sources.
These are some of the qualities we will look for.
Demonstrate ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, coping with stressful situations with patience and a positive mental attitude
Assist other kitchen staff members when needed
Ability to look ahead and communicate items needed to be ordered or prepped in advance
Prep all food items in accordance to recipe and standards set by chef
Read and prepare food orders in a timely manner and to set standards during service
Eye for plate presentation, good knife skills, clean and organized
Passionate about food as will be working with high end ingredients
Ability to follow recipes as everything is made from scratch, nothing prepackaged
Display a strong sense of urgency, strong attention to detail and to meet goals in a timely manner
