ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager on Duty for Glacier Distilling Company and Josephines Bar + Kitchen is a roaming position between the two properties. The MOD will be responsible for backing up all FOH staff during hours of operation, engaging with customers, working with retail and monitoring inventory, and ensuring the tasting room is clean and stocked at all times. In accordance with offsite events, this role will assist in planning/packing needs. This position reports to the General Manager.
Back up all FOH staff during hours of operation
Act as receiving agent for all delivered supplies to include unpacking and stocking
Demonstrates a leadership approach in helping where needed with the bar and assisting customers
Ensure tasting room is clean and stocked
Maintains menus and signage for both operations
Assist with the planning and packing needs required to handle offsite events
Adhere to OSHA safety standards and practices
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
Knowledge and experience in distilling helpful
Knowledge of bar and restaurant operations preferred
Experience with various types of equipment within food and beverage industry preferred
Must be able to work without direct supervision
Must be able to communicate effectively with vendors, customers and staff
Prior knowledge of craft spirits helpful
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
