Wilderness Treatment Center is a family owned, 60 day, inpatient chemical dependency treatment program for teens and young men between the ages of 14 and 24. Widely known as one of the first and finest wilderness based addiction therapy programs in the world, Wilderness Treatment Center has been successfully treating adolescent and young men with substance abuse disorder for more than 30 years.Wilderness Treatment Center is currently looking for Addiction Counselors to fill open positions immediately. The program is located in Marion, MT which is 25 miles west of Kalispell in NW Montana. Located on a 4000 acre working cattle ranch, WTC incorporates a 28 day inpatient stay with a 16-21 day therapeutic wilderness expedition.The responsibilities of the Addiction Counselor position include participation in 3 to 4 wilderness trips per year 16 to 21 days in length. Group sizes range from 6 to 9 young men. Each trip has two instructors, a counselor and a qualified wilderness instructor. When not on a wilderness trip the Counselors responsibilities include assessments, treatment planning, managing a caseload of 6 patients, and full participation as a member of the clinical team. The Counselor will provide these services within the context of a 40-hour week.

Experience Required
Minimum 1-2 years of experience. Experience working in a residential addiction program preferred but not required.
Further Comments
The candidate must meet all eligibility requirements for licensure in the state of Montana as a licensed addiction counselor.

Salary
$40000 - $48000 annually dependent upon education, certification(s) and years of experience.
