This position requires experience in sign design, visual branding and graphic design. If you are solely a graphic designer without sign design and production experience, please do not apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes design and layout projects for customer projects using Adobe Creative Cloud software (Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop)
Adjusts and prepares customer-provided artwork to be produced for sign-making
Prepares and sends artwork proofs to customers for review and approval; follows up with customers as needed
Assist with creating print, digital and social media marketing for our company as needed
Ensures the quality of projects meets or exceeds the customer standards for each individual project
Assists with production table work and installations as needed to keep the flow of projects moving smoothly through the shop while meeting customer deadlines
Maintains clean work and storage areas participates in team effort to keep shop clean
Works on different projects according to shop priorities and customer requirements
Communicates clearly and proactively with all internal and external partners
Follows all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be positive, dependable, reliable, and detail-oriented
Strong verbal and written communication skills are a MUST
Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure and take accurate measurements
Enjoy collaboration and team projects
Excellent computer skills including experience with Adobe Illustrator; Adobe Photoshop Microsoft Outlook (or similar email client) and ability to perform web-based research
Experience with sign industry RIP software and vinyl cutting software
Good understanding of graphic design principles emphasis on large format design elements
Ability to work well under pressure to output high volume, high quality work
Ability to easily adjust to changing priorities and work flows
Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds rolls of media substrates
Must have the flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back & forth hand and arm motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate (occasionally)
Must be able to work safely with sharp cutting tools and have steady hands
Sign and graphics production experience is a plus but not required
Work Schedule: 30 - 40 hours per week
