Local machine and fabrication shop in Kalispell is seeking a Machine Shop Lead to plan, direct, assist and assign work to busy machine shop personnel.
Responsibilities:
-Responsible to support and participate in the continual improvement of the AS9100 Quality Management System and to review and approve management responsibilities related to the QMS System.
-Ability to take on complex jobs and special projects a plus.
-Set Up and operate manual and CNC machines with highest proficiency.
-Ensure all machinists are working on the highest priority work.
-Track time and attendance.
-Provide guidance and leadership on the floor for other machinists.
-Assist machinists in solving problems, editing programs, and answering general questions.
-Assist in the recruiting and training of new machinists.
-Assist in ordering tooling and supplies.
Skill & Qualifications:
-Demonstrate adherence to highest quality standards.
-Must have strong math skills, ability to write/edit CNC programs.
-Good overall communication skills with ability to lead, train and direct other shop personnel.
-Posses a High School Diploma or Equivalent
-Ability to effectively lead people.
-Outstanding Machinist background, seeking 4-6 years of experience
-Ability to operate any manual or CNC machine in the shop.
-Must have excellent blueprint reading skills.
-Understanding of GD&T.
-Computer literate
Work schedule is 5:00 am - 5:30 pm, Friday-Sunday, 36 hours worked but paid for 40 every week.
