Position Functions:
-Performing all functions in the software development life cycle (specification, analysis, design, coding, testing, maintenance, support, and documentation)
-Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
-Write reports for various business units utilizing core banking system, SQL, SSRS, & Microsoft Excel.
-Serve as technical support to staff for issues with developed software and report generation needs.
-Create full-stack web applications that streamline and enhance our core banking system.
-Maintain and extend automated processes.
-Maintain documentation relating to programs or scripts for reference.
-Work closely with Core Systems Team on maintenance on core banking system platform.
-Adhere to all policies and procedures.
Position Requirements:
-Strong knowledge of how to automate processes with fault-tolerant, maintainable scripts
-Ability to create full-stack web applications, and integrate the applications with existing banking systems.
-Ability to keep track of code changes with version control software
-An understanding of how to utilize REST APIs and their related technologies (HTTP, JSON, XML, etc.).
-Proficiency querying and modifying a relational database using SQL.
-Proficient with analyzing, converting, and merging data from disparate systems.
-Familiarity with basic networking and general PC support.
-Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with non-technical staff.
-Participate in on-call support if needed.
Required Education and Experience
-B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
-3 - 5 years of professional programming experience.
-Experience building web applications with HTML, CSS, and Javascript
-Experience with the git version control system
-Experience with relational databases, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Postgre SQL, or MySQL.
Preferred Experience
-Professional Experience with Javascript and Node.js
-Experience with a modern front-end Javascript framework such as React, Angular, Vue, or Ember.
-Experience with a back-end web application framework such as Express, Rails, Flask, Django or Spring.
-Prior experience with Symitar Episys or other banking core.
-Experience with SSRS, Crystal Reports, or other SQL reporting/business intelligence tools.
