Opportunity

This position assumes the responsibility to lead the Roadway Design Team of approximately 3 to 5 engineers and CAD designers in the Helena and Spokane Offices. The roadway design team is part of the firm's Transportation Market Group and provides engineering, planning and design services to departments of transportation and local agencies throughout the mountain west. This position coordinates with staff in all Morrison-Maierle offices on projects of complexity. In addition, this position serves as the Client Service Manager for numerous clients.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Providing general supervision of project managers and ensuring projects are completed in accordance with client requirements and company policies and standards.

• Monitoring quality assurance and risk management procedures.

• Communicating with and directing staff on business development, roadway project schedules, staffing capacity needs, new work, and client relations.

• Performing as Client Service Manager, Project Manager and Project Engineer as necessary.

• Initiating, managing and assisting in building client relationships, including maintaining, expanding and enhancing existing client relationships, forging new relationships with prospective clients and securing profitable new work.

• Tracking and maintaining assigned group utilization, net labor multiplier, and revenue efficiency factor goals as well as individual goals..

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology or equivalent. P.E. required

Minimum of 10 years professional experience in delivering consulting services in the Transportation market or closely related field. Familiarity with transportation design process including proposal writing, applicable design guides & calculations, technical specifications, DOT procedures, and scope & budget preparation.

Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and/or GIS software platforms a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word.

Client relationship building skills, and the ability to pursue and capture projects. Must be service oriented and be excited to work in a team environment. Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with employees and managers. Positive attitude and professional bearing. Strong organizational skills and aptitude for detail.

Salary $80,000 - $110,000/yr
