Looking for Part Time and Full Time Cooks for St. Joseph's Medical Center in Polson!
$12.00- $15.00/hr. DOE
The Cook performs a wide variety of tasks and operations to prepare and cook food for patients, employees, others as directed, following standard practices and procedures and complying with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include: follows standard recipes, production sheets, tallies and ingredient room sheet to achieve nutritious, high quality, cost effective meals and handles food and equipment in accordance with sanitation and safety practices in an acute care hospital.
In this position you will:
Handle and prepare food in accordance with sanitation regulations, infection control policies, maintain high standards of quality preparation and portion control using standardized recipes and in appropriate quantities to meet menu requirements.
Adapt and sustain a culture of continuous improvement.
Cook, bake, do prep work or make salads, as assigned.
Maintain professional, courteous relationships with all staff.
Qualifications:
1 year experience in quantity food preparation and completion of some cooking classes with formal on-the-job training
Able to read, write follow oral and written directions and pay attention to details
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Culinary training
Proficiency in basic math skills
