SENIOR MAINTENANCE OPERATOR – Buildings & Grounds

(Juvenile Detention Facilities)

THIS POSITION is responsible for the safety, security and comfort of the Juvenile Detention facilities and its occupants; and assists direct care staff in resident supervision, restraints, and movement, as well as provides job training to appropriate residents in a one-on-one or group setting.

• $15.67 to $17.87 per hour depending on experience

DO YOU QUALIFY?

• Do you have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 1 year related experience or training?

• Do you have a certificate in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, carpentry, hydraulics, masonry, CCTV, locksmithing, roofing and/or appliance repair from a professional or technical school/trade schools?

• Do you have a working knowledge of HVAC systems, fire alarms and fire sprinkler systems and arc, wire feed, brazing and soldering methods?

• Are you able to work in high places and deal with persons who may be potentially violent and high-risk?

• Do you have supervisory experience?

• Do you possess or have the ability to obtain a valid driver’s license and be insurable?

• Do you possess or have the ability to obtain a certification in CPR and obtain a First Aid Card (see job description for more details)?

• Are you able to pass a Sheriff’s Office background and selection process (see job description for details)?
