Position Overview

Initially responsible for operation of various assets in the resin plant. Responsibilities include the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the facility. Responsible for quality control, inventory management, housekeeping and maintenance within the department using the below specifics:

Job Responsibilities:

EH&S:

- Ensure safety standards are met.

- Participate in safety training and audits.

- Maintain working area in clean and safe conditions at all times.

Production:

- Responsible for the efficient & reliable operation of the resin process to produce resin in-specification. This will be approx 80% of workload.

- Create SAP production orders and PI sheets for daily production schedule.

- Maintain and operate the plant at maximum yield and production level to meet requirements of both external and internal customers.

- Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures and PI sheet instruction are clearly understood and followed.

- Ensure PI sheets are maintained and completed accurately and thoroughly.

- Perform cycle counts for materials assigned.

- Supports efforts to maintain accurate and adequate inventory on hand to meet production demands. Assist in management and control inventory of raw material and finished product.

- Ensure that equipment needing maintenance attention is properly identified, using the work order system.

- Trouble-shoot equipment problems as far as possible before calling for assistance.

Quality:

- Participate in quality and safety incident investigations

- Participate in quality improvement teams as required.

- Ensure that appropriate usage decisions are made and all approved deviation procedures are followed on all shipments.

- Ensure proper adjustments are carried out and documented on PI sheets at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Experienced forklift operator

- Chemical handling experience

- Computer experience

- Understanding of process equipment

- Good troubleshooting skills

- Must be able to analyze and interpret data, come to sound conclusion and make recommendations

Education Requirements:

- High School Diploma or GED
