Mutual Materials is a fifth generation, family owned business that has grown from a single brick plant founded in 1900 into the multi-product masonry company that we are today. Currently we are the leading Pacific Northwest manufacturer and distributor of brick, block, interlocking and permeable concrete pavers, retaining wall systems, pre-packaged mortars and cements, and a full line of natural and manufactured stone. Mutual Materials Company operates in four states, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana, in addition to British Columbia, Canada.

POSITION SUMMARY

Mutual Materials is currently seeking to hire a full time Sales Representative with primary focus on the state of Montana representing Mutual Materials and Kanta Products. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customers that use masonry and hardscape products to include design professionals, contractors and distributor accounts within the assigned territory.

General Responsibilities:

Provide support to the organization by ensuring that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.

Customers include, mason and hardscape contractors, architects, and local distributors engaged in the design and construction of homes and commercial projects.

Create quotes and establish sales agreements

Measures and reports on actual sales performance against planned objectives and goals.

Responsible for maintaining effective relationships with current and new customers that lead to increased sales and revenue.

Monitors competitor products, sales activities within the territory.

Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.

Responsible for identifying and prospecting for new customers.

Work closely with branch and plant teams to develop sales strategies.

Analyze market trends and develop action plan to capitalize on shifts in market.

Essential Requirements:

The ideal candidate has a Bachelors Degree or a combination of technical courses and experience to demonstrate knowledge of the construction industry.

Knowledge of construction practices, design, and codesand experience working with building materials, or masonry is preferred.

Previous sales experience, demonstrating strong influencing skills with the ability to drive results and revenue.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment demanding strong organizational, problem solving, and prioritization skills.

Exceptional communication skills in all forms (i.e.: written, in-person, telephone),able to develop and conduct presentations to individuals and groups of people, proactive and friendly, conscientious and diligent, committed to contributing to operational goals in a positive, productive way.

Able to work under pressure/deadlines; detail oriented, resourceful, and thorough in completing projects.

Demonstrated success in growing a company(s) sales revenue and market share, ideally in similar industries.

Ability to travel as necessary.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee is frequently required to operate a motor vehicle, sit, stand, walk, and handle product.

Occasionally Sales Representatives will need to lift up to approximately 50 pounds at a time.
