We are looking for a Level 1 Support Technician to provide internal support for employees. Candidates should have a mix of technical and customer service skills and be passionate about technology and helping people. We support both PCs and some Macs, BYOD, printers, faxes, copiers, etc. The primary job role is working as a help desk technician and assisting the IT manager with projects and coverage as needed. Pay DOE $13 to $17 an hour.
Job Functions/Responsibilities
Full-time position during Business hours.
Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and phones.
Respond to and resolve Help Desk Tickets.
Ask questions to determine the nature of the issue and resolve or escalate.
Walk associates through problem-solving ideas.
Assist with maintaining the daily performance of computer systems.
Ongoing updates and vulnerability remediation.
Install, modify, and repair computer hardware.
Install computer peripherals as needed.
Setup and interact with Mitel Phones and phone systems.
Follow up with associates to ensure the issue has been resolved or escalate the issue with support from vendors
Write training material for helpdesk troubleshooting.
Create accounts and configure hardware as part of employee onboarding.
Support audio and video equipment in the conference rooms.
Other duties may be added and/or assigned as needed
Education and/or Experience Requirements
Windows 10, Mac OS X, Google Collaboration Apps, Microsoft Office
Active Directory Users
PC and some Mac hardware, Printers, scanners, computer peripherals, Mobile devices (iOS, Android).
File server knowledge.
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users.
Compensation
Compensation will start at an hourly rate and will be dependent on experience. $13 to $17 an hour.
Schedule
Full-time position to mirror business hours, typically Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Some travel may be required
Some after-hours work will need to be performed for the maintenance of systems.
