We are currently hiring for a Support Specialist to join our Information Technology team! The role of the IT Support Specialist is to provide Resort/employee/guest technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. You will respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, and isolate the problem to determine and implement solutions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose, research, and troubleshoot computer system issues, including operating systems, H/W and S/W, networking, VPN, connectivity, server, and other network devices/peripherals.
Respond to queries in person, virtually, or over the phone.
Provide consistent follow up with customers to ensure issues have been resolved.
Gain feedback from customers regarding computer usage.
Write training manuals and provide end-user training.
Install computer peripherals for users.
Maintain daily performance of computer systems; install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
Support the Audio and Visual needs of the Resort and guests.
Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
Demonstrate critical thinking and resourcefulness to troubleshoot recurring malfunctions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Pursuit of a Degree in Information Technology or relevant experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
Strong understanding of computers and experience working with Windows desktop applications
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Preferred experience troubleshooting Active Directory, TCP/IP networks, and common PC applications/operating systems
Preferred experience with cloud platforms and technologies (Microsoft Office 365 or similar)
Preferred experience administering Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and Exchange users
Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company driving policy
