Job Description Overview:

Our company is an active resource development company who works primarily in the arctic and remote Alaskan locations. Our team has developed and achieved numerous onshore and offshore construction practices in support of the mining/oil and gas industry. We are proud to be sought after by industry leaders for our reputation of completing projects in a safe and timely manner all within budget. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to manage our remote projects on a rotational basis. The expectation of this position is to own the project and take it from inception through closeout. Our project work load can vary from winter season to summer season, however, this position is to be full time throughout the year. We will at times request the employees to work out of our Anchorage, AK based home office to assist in estimating, project planning, etc. to ensure the success of each and every project.

Key Job Responsibilities:

- Oversee the execution of projects to ensure the projects are kept on track, completed safely, and to our clients expectations

- Knowledgeable in reading and understanding plans and specifications.

- Coordinate with and manage project foreman to ensure equipment, labor, materials, and all other project related resources are in place as needed to be successful

- Thoroughly track project activities to provide timely reporting and through communication to outside parties

- Provide technical support and feedback to the engineering group

- Administer deviation reporting procedures, scope changes and trends

- Must be able to manage multiple tasks in a high energy environment

- Capable of working with minimal supervision or direction.

- Ability to work 12 hours days, 7 days a week on a three week on/three week off rotation schedule.

- Flexibility in project locations, work environments, work hours and team dynamics. Our projects vary in location throughout the State of Alaska and each project provides its own unique challenges.

Applicant Requirements:

- B.S. in construction management, or related field. Field work experience can be substituted for education. Local candidates or candidates with Alaska work experience are preferred.

- Experience in the heavy civil, mining, and/or oil & gas construction industry

- Strong understanding in survey requirements, heavy civil construction techniques, labor resource coordination, and equipment utilization

- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office & Primavera P6 (optional)

- 5+ years of experience in multiple turnkey projects with multi-million dollar budgets
