Provides input into formulating business solutions through research, manipulation and/or analysis of data, facts, and information. Provides support for the implementation and administration of technologies in order to meet defined objectives and contribute to the overall business strategy. Work involves use of independent judgment as well as responsibility for performing technical and somewhat complex duties.Essential Job Functions:

Performs tasks that are needed to support the Long Term Care business with a focus on compliance activities, quality data reviews, audits, and account reconciliations.

Responds to internal and external inquiries and handles escalated cases as needed.

Works with multiple areas in the Company and at LTCG to ensure service objectives are met.

Provides support to the Third Party Administrator (TPA) as needed.

Coordinates with other teams for resolution of production issues. Partners with business areas and LTCG to define solutions and resolve issues.

Contributes to the development and implementation of comprehensive communications, training plans and materials for internal and external business associates and customers.

Maintains understanding and documentation of Mutual and LTCG processes and procedures to ensure consistent handling between companies where possible while able to understand and explain any differences in processing that exist.

Communicates in a clear, effective, and timely manner to necessary parties in the business areas and LTCG.

Develops and maintains current knowledge of assigned business areas, Mutual of Omaha practices, the insurance industry, and the business environment. Improves understanding of business system tools, practices, and methodologies.

Partners and collaborates with the LTC Project Team when projects are implemented that impact products, processes, procedures and expectations of LTCG.

Commitment to developing and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external individuals.

Demonstrates and integrates Continuous Process Improvement review into all assignments.

This position requires sitting over 66% of the time.

This position requires Visual Acuity at 20 inches (or less) over 66% of the time.

The Business Systems Analyst and Senior Business Systems Analyst levels have variable essential functions, qualifications and physical requirements. Competency and skill set will determine level of placement within the posted job family.Minimum Qualifications:

Work experience in a Business Analyst role (techniques/tools, workflow analysis, and business systems terminology/standards) OR comparable experience with Mutual of Omaha's Individual products/processes.

Strong oral and written communication, human relations, and presentation skills. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Ability to complete workflow analysis and document business processes.

Creativity, diplomacy, sound judgment, and initiative.

Ability to meet stringent deadlines, to work independently and as part of a team, to guide and train others, and to provide excellent customer service.

Strong ability to effectively complete multiple concurrent assignments.

Excellent prioritization and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with process and quality audits.

Knowledge and/or experience with third party administrator processes and systems (LTCG a plus).

Strong knowledge and/or experience with individual long term care products.

Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Visio).

Strong reporting skills including the ability to succinctly summarize information.

Experience using Jira as a work management tool including advanced functionality.

Experience with Lean process improvement techniques and tools.
