We are looking to hire a Shop Technician.

Who we are:

TC Machine, Inc. is a welding/fabrication business. We repair, design and build equipment primarily for the agriculture industry. This is not a factory job. Almost every job is unique, requiring us to think on our feet and be responsive to our customers' needs. We currently have a good group of people who are able to produce quality work, and have a good time doing it.

Shop Technician duties include:

Assemble finished projects.

Driving forklift and telehandler to move parts and steel.

Assist welders by prepping, holding, moving, or transporting tools, steel or parts.

Grind parts.

Keep shop floor swept and tools organized.

Maintain organized inventory of parts, including nuts/bolts, hydraulic fittings, and bearings.

Tools used include the following:

Use a tape measure to accurately measure bar stock steel.

Use a saw to accurately cut bar stock steel.

Use a press brake to bend steel.

Use a drill press to punch holes in steel.

Use a grinder to smooth out steel.

Job requirements:

Be able to read a tape measure.

Be able to lift heavy objects,

Painting experience.

Be able to follow both verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.

Have exemplary attention to detail,

Have a self-motivated work ethic,

Be efficient with their time and work processes,

Have a good attendance record and be willing to work overtime when the situation requires it,

Have a good housekeeping attitude towards their work area and the shop as a whole,

Be able to quickly learn new skills and techniques,

Be able to get along with the rest of us and have a good time at work,

Ideal candidates will:

Will be interested in learning more about welding or machining.

Realize that they do NOT know everything and are willing to learn by example and/or direction

from the owner and co-workers. Compensation depends greatly on abilities.
