The duties will include but are not limited to:
Audit all phases of the receiving aspect of the manufacturing process.
Use and operate a wide variety of inspection tools including, but not limited to: Visual tools (i.e.: scale, comparator), Manual Geometric Devices (i.e.: micrometers, gauges).
Read B.O.M.'s and engineering drawings.
Prepare incoming product for storage by processing required paperwork and hardware to assure accurate warehousing and shipment of all product and parts.
Use forklift and hand trucks to move material and load trucks for shipment.
Receive and log in on the SYMIX system a wide variety of items ensuring they are accurately stored and properly documented to reserve accuracy of inventory.
Compares identifying information and quantities on the packing slip against the purchase order.
Process returned shipments to manufacturing, quality control, or applicable department.
Prepare and move items to receiving inspection.
Move items from receiving inspection area to proper location.
Deliver supply items to respective departments.
Operate the following manual equipment; fork truck, hand truck, overhead cranes, jib cranes, pneumatic nailers, power saws, various hand tools, various inspection tools and instruments and banding equipment as necessary.
Maintain and clean equipment used to assure minimal down time.
Read, interpret and follow a wide variety of hand written and computer generated shop instructions.
Exercise problem solving and decision making skills in solving problems in the daily areas of responsibility.
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
6+ months of experience in quality inspection of machined and cast parts.
Ability to work well with others.
Good handwriting. Forklift experience preferred.
Use various PC applications including Microsoft office.
Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Be dependable, reliable and mature enough to handle equipment safely and sensibly
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Abide by job safety analysis and expectations required by the facility
Preferences:
Ability to read and interpret engineering shop drawings.
Experience with precision measuring equipment is highly preferred
