Job duties include performing administrative support activities, writes responses to inquiries and complaints of potentially sensitive nature, composing, tracking and monitoring information and projects, takes action to facilitate attainment of goals and deadlines, arranging schedules and agendas, organizing conferences, recording minutes, and preparing a written record of proceedings for various meetings, Collect and compile information from computers, databases, statistical, administrative, or other documents to create reports, charts and/or graphs through word processing, spreadsheets, or database software to display information in readable format. Prepare documents, reports or presentations requiring the use of advanced software features that includes integration of spreadsheets, macros, queries, charts, graphics, tables, and multiple databases. Participate in process improvement projects. Plans, organizes, and implements work assignments.REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.OTHER: Valid driver's license is required. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following preemployment exams in this order: medical exam, and at a randomly announced time, pass a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy, must successfully complete the fully paid NE Corrections Training Program.Knowledge of the program administrative policies and guidelines of NDCS; administrative and office processes and procedures and associated computer applications such as word processing, file management, record keeping, and database management; customer service processes and principles; specialized processes and terminology associated with assigned work. Knowledge of word processing; creating spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and reports; managing time, schedules, and priorities; monitoring and assessing program performance; applying critical thinking techniques.
