GD-OTS is looking for an experienced Engineer Technician III (1st Shift) with CNC Machining experience to join our Lincoln, NE organization. Working with the Engineering Teams to develop solutions for the production floor specifically in the machining area (lathes and mills)
Production Floor Support of machining operations (set-up of machines, trouble shooting of machining processes, machinist operator training)
Manufacturing Process support as it relates to machining (review of document revisions, provide suggestions for improved quality, clarification and correction of processing to improve communication to Machinists)
Run trial machining programs on CNC equipment to ensure programs are acceptable for production
Support of continuous improvement and Root Cause Corrective Actions in the machining work cells
Support of Manufacturing Readiness Reviews related to machining
Communication and teamwork with program specific Engineering Teams, Machinists and Operation’s Supervisors
The candidate will possess an Associate Degree from a technical institute with 3-5 years of experience in CNC machining or high school diploma and 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing and CNC machining.
Ability to work with models and drawings
Good communication skills and ability to work with Production Operators, Engineers and Managers
Excellent computer skills
