In this role, you will be responsible for warehouse operations under the direction of the warehouse manager. The assistant warehouse manager would work second shift.
You would maintain the condition of warehouse by inspecting equipment and issuing work orders for repair.
Manage warehouse staff by coaching, counseling, disciplining; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Schedule and assign employees; following up on work results.
Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by enforcing policies and procedures.
Review customer requirements and interact directly with internal and external customers.
Aligns warehouse procedures to adhere to customer requirements.
Control inventory levels by conducting physical count, managing storage and pick slots; reconciling with WMS.
Manage weekly budget and expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions.
Position requires:
Bachelors degree
Experience/exposure to lean manufacturing practices
5-10 years experience in warehousing, receiving, WMS applications, and inventory control
Previous experience in a leadership role
