As a Design & Drafting Technician at Kohler, youll work closely with our fabrication team to engineer and draft our custom equipment and parts, from complete machines to small assemblies. You will be a key member of our manufacturing process, working with our Design Team to improve equipment performance, ensure effective construction, and maintain an organized document library. Other members of our crew will rely on you to complete the following tasks:
Assist in the design and engineering of equipment, components, and complex assemblies
Create drawings and models from written and verbal specifications
Perform, notate, and effectively communicate accurate measurements
Maintain organization of technical documents in our digital directory
Work with our team to produce operation manuals and instructions
Assist in developing processes for new and rebuilt machinery
Qualifications
2 year degree in Computer Aided Design & Drafting or Design & Drafting Certification plus 2 years related experience
Proficient with SolidWorks 3D modeling software
Experience in AutoCAD (or similar) 2D design software
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
Previous mechanical experience or skill set
A problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills
Adaptable to a fast paced, constantly moving environment
Easily acquire and implement new skills on the fly
