Norland Intl. and American Beer Equipment, manufacturers of premium bottled water equipment and top quality brewing equipment, are working to fill our Quality Assurance Manager position in our QA department. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker and team player who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

1.) Maintain and develop standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards.

2.) Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action.

3.) Perform internal and external quality audits and compile detailed reports of findings.

4.) Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations.

5.) Work closely with the leadership team to achieve company goals and meet standards.

Essential Functions

1.) Assist with the development, training, and implementation of receiving, in-process, and finished system inspection processes.

2.) Record and document inspection results. Store data in a manner that facilitates data mining and the ability to query meaningful information at a later date.

3.) Conduct dimensional and visual inspections

4.) Establishing awareness of Key Input and Key Output process variable from which Statistical Process Control and metrics efforts will originate.

5.) Lead/facilitate Value Stream Mapping session, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and assist with employee training.

6.) Responsible for leading the NCP/CAPA process, ensuring effective follow up and closure. Relative to this NCP/CAPA process, responsible for maintaining this information in a data base format that can be sorted and/or queried to glean needed information.

7.) Create detailed inspection reports as required by leadership or customers.

8.) Support Continuous Improvement initiatives. Work to develop line-of-site quality related visual metrics for the shop floor.

9.) Assist Customer Service representatives with responses to both internal and external customer concerns.

10.) Participate in vendor and customer visits or audits as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Business, or Statistics

3-5+ years' relevant work experience

Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
