AutoCad and/or Solidworks experience required
Designers/drafters at Obermeyer Hydro help cities control their water.
We design large scale water control gate installations.
These installations include fabricated steel gate panels, inflatable rubber actuators and seals, see our website.
Preparation of working civil layouts, drawings of fabricated steel structures (including shop drawings and CAD files for CNC cutting.
The ability to work from customer specifications, prior project documents, redlines and sketches, samples and models, or verbal instructions is a must.
Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
Creating drawings in support of manufacture, assembly, installation, and commissioning of robust life-safety-critical water control systems
Responsible for meticulously maintaining fit of assembled parts and subsystems into the overall assembly and installation.
Must address or escalate technical and schedule issues as they arise in order so that design work product meets project specifications on schedule.
Must be able to work within a team and be willing to create drawings or check drawings as needed.
Assist project managers in prioritizing design tasks to meet project schedule milestones.
Adhere to CAD file naming protocol, revision history, version control, maintain established project standards on all created and revised drawings; maintain related technical project files and documentation as directed
