Morgan Pet Clinic is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated individual to join our team as a veterinary/kennel assistant with additional receptionist/phone duties. Previous animal experience desirable, but not required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Must enjoy interacting with clients and pets.
Duties include: assisting doctors and technicians by restraining animals for exams/blood draws/x-rays; walking dogs; kennel maintenance; general cleaning; receptionist/phone duties.
Hours would range from 30-40 per week--days, evenings, and weekends. Our weekday office hours are M/F 7 am to 6 pm, T/W/R 7 am-8 pm. Schedules do vary slightly from week to week. Weekend hours are 7a-2p Saturdays, with 30-60 minute shifts on Saturdays at 6 pm, and Sundays 8 am and 6 pm to walk and feed boarding animals. Length of walking shifts depends upon number of boarding pets for any particular weekend.
***If you are scheduled for a weekend, you are typically scheduled for the day on Saturday, as well as all three walking shifts.
***Weekend availability is a must! Assistants should expect to work on average two weekends a month.
