Job Description

Werner Enterprises is excited to be hiring an Agile Coach that will join our newly createdAgile Transformation Office (ATO). You will help us drive the Agile methoodology successfuly by:

• Driving consistency and commonality where needed.
• Helping the organization reap the benefits of Agile at scale.
• Make recommendations regarding processes to adapt, change or discard relating to project and portfolio management.
• Assist with the development of custom Agile training for scrum teams, product owners and scrum masters.
• Ensure best practices and processes across the digital teams for the consistent delivery of digital projects
• Provide agile leadership and guidance to teams and leadership throughout the organization
• Work with the team or organization to establish and adapt to Agile practices that help to ensure high quality results and a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Provide Mentoring and Coaching to multiple teams at the Team, Program and Portfolio level and ensure continuous improvement
• Design and facilitate training sessions to educate employees on organization-wide adoption of Agile methodologies and principles
• Deliver Agile training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one coaching for Business and IT participants at the team, program and portfolio levels
• Facilitate transparency, consistency and alignment across the business.
• Support the continued evolution of our agile practices across the enterprise
• Work closely and engage with teams to establish an environment that is motivating, entrepreneurial in nature and instill a sense of empowerment among the teams.
• Provide expert coaching to key agile roles such as Product Mangers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, etc., as required
• Help organization instill transparency to communicate and connect strategy, business outcomes and key performance indicators
• Guide key stakeholders and Product Owners in establishing an MVP mindset and approach

Qualifications

What you will need to be successful in this role:

• Min. 3+ years coaching distributed teams at scale.
• Practical team experience with Scrum and Kanban, and one or more scaled agile Framework (SAFe, LeSS, Scrum at Scale)
• Skilled in coaching cross-functional teams, both within engineering and across departments (e.g., customer support, sales, marketing, implementations, etc.)
• Must hold one or more Agile certifications (SAFe SPC, SAFe RTE, CSM, CSPO, CSP, PSM or PSPO)
• Knowledge and experience working in a product centric organization is a plus
• Track record of facilitating high performing, self-directed teams and coaching for results at all levels in an organization.
• Must have strong presentation skills. Ability to present a message clearly and succinctly to business stakeholders, product leaders and team members.
• Must be able to fluidly move between strategic planning and the tactical.
• Demonstrated experience in leading an agile maturity assessment and developing a roadmap.
• Proven critical thinking and analysis capability
• Initiative and drive to improve the environment·
• Continuous improvement mindset and understanding of the core tenants of Agile
• Change management experience within large matrixed organizations.
• Established reputation for building peer like relationships with senior leaders in a large, complex organization, and being able to communicate and influence groups with highly developed communication skills
• DevOps experience (build automation, test automation, test driven development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Development (CD), Infrastructure as code, etc.)
