All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices, and procedures.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Complete opening side duties fold/stack cocktail napkins, stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches, line cocktail trays, stock glassware, restock supply cabinet, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies
Knowledge of liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available on the casino floor
Knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink
Communicate order into system through Bartender; ensure transmission is verified
Knowledge of Hotel services and features as well as local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries
Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to management; notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
Successful completion of Restaurant Training Program and testing is required
Perform other job-related duties as requested
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Knowledgeable of menu items, including mixing and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies and equipment
Knowledgeable of standard kitchen equipment, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators, and coolers, slicers and beverage machines
Knowledgeable of tableside sequence of service, wine and liquor
Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
Knowledgeable of particular characteristics and description of every wine and champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list
Able to balance and carry a tray loaded with glassware
Knowledgeable of computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems
Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
PREFERRED:High school diploma or equivalent
Six (6) months of experience as a Cocktail and/or Food Server in a similar environment
Experience working in a similar resort setting
Wine and spirits certification
