Sr. Engineer - Data Security

The Sr. Engineer, Data Security is responsible for implementing and maturing the Electronic Records Information Management and Retention program technical tools, systems, and practices. This role is part of the Information Security team based in Las Vegas NV, reporting to the Manager of Data Security, supporting compliance with all records management practices and disposal requirements on behalf of the legal and privacy team. This role is key to supporting Wynn's efforts to ensure sensitive data is stored securely and properly deleted when necessary.Core Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with team members, data owners, business units, and stakeholders to understand data needs and determine system capabilitiesImplement and enforce retention policies to manage the lifecycle of data, including archiving, purging, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulationsAssess business requirements and participate in the selection and support of an Information Management (IM) platform, including Data Catalog, Classification, and Lifecycle Management capabilitiesImplement and configure security measures, including access controls, data classification, and secure integrations with source systemsCreate and customize taxonomies and classifications based on industry standards and organizational criteria to meet regulatory and jurisdictional requirementsDesign and develop workflows to review and gain approval for lifecycle changes and disposition of electronic records in accordance with Information Management PolicyEstablish procedures for gathering evidence related to data access, modifications, and deletions through audit logs and tracking mechanismsAutomate processes required by the Information Management team for Information Lifecycle, Information Governance, and Security functionsPerform analysis on enterprise data platforms and sources, making and executing recommendations to harden the data security postureGenerate reports and conduct audits to ensure compliance, track usage patterns, and monitor the effectiveness of the IM platformSet up monitoring tools to track system performance, metadata changes, and user activities, with alerts configured for potential issuesMaintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures
