Job Summary:
Deliver an exceptional meal experience to each and every guest by taking and delivering orders with courtesy, timeliness, competence, and knowledge in alignment with all company, department, and Health Department policies, procedures, and regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
Take and deliver customer orders and input into POS system
Check with customers often to ensure they are enjoying their meal and take action to correct any problems
Maintain tables by removing dishes and glasses
Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods
Up-sell drinks and desserts
Check identification to ensure minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
Finalize guest checks
Relay all guest compliments/complaints to appropriate supervisor
Maintain required side work on assigned workstation
All other duties that may be assigned
Work Environment:
Must be willing to work any shift when necessary, including weekends and holidays
Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke
Job Requirements:
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English; Bilingual a plus
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must present a well-groomed, professional appearance
Must have Alcohol card and Health card or ability to obtain same
Previous food server experience required; at least one year
Must possess excellent customer service skills
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and carry a tray of up to 30 pounds
