Seeking a full time Back Office Medical Assistant to work in a fast paced Pain Management environment.
Compensation DOE, we offer benefits.
Bilingual a plus.
Summary:
Assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of Physician, Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant in compliance with state practice acts and regulations
Essential Functions:
Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information on patients charts
Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination
Cleans and sterilizes exam rooms
Gives IM injections
Collecting and sending urine specimens to appropriate laboratories.
Keys data into computer to maintain clinic and patient records
Using computers and related software applications
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties
Efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.
Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited Medical Assistant training program
Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
High School Diploma/GED.
