DescriptionRobert Half Finance is in the process of hiring an Accounting Clerk for a rapidly-expanding company in the manufacturing industry. In this position, your responsibilities will include matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, performing data entry tasks and supporting the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other general accounting projects
Manually or electronically post financial information
Utilize a number of sources to create statements and reports
Support Accounts Receivable by processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and helping with collection of past due balances
Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts
Complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed
Assist accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A/P invoice matching filing
Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
Requirements
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system
2+ years of accounting experience required
Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Payroll experience desired
Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel
Proven knowledge of accounts receivable aging
Billing experience preferred
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience highly desired
Well-founded grasp of Sage 100
