Sugar Bowl Ski Resort is looking for a qualified Assistant Accounting Manager to oversee accounts payable, bank account reconciliations and other miscellaneous accounting activities. Successful candidates must be a self-driven team player with adequate Great Plains and accounting and/or finance experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong knowledge of overall aspects of accounting
Supervisory Experience
Ability to work in a fast, changing environment
Strong leader with ability to implement process change
Knowledge of Great Plains Accounting software desired
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Office
Ability to take initiative; strong analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, which encompasses solid grammar skills, excellent listening skills, and the ability to communicate effectively through phone, in-person, and electronic communications

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Perform all accounting functions, including:
o Preparation of journal entries
o General Ledger reconciliations
o Monitoring deferred revenue accounts
o Month end closing and financial statement preparation
Responsible for the oversight of account receivables, including billing, collection and application of payments to homeowner accounts
Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts.
Assist with the month-end close process including preparation of reconciliations and documents in order to distribute financial information timely.
Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement,
Assisting in the budgeting process and information gathering
Assisting in preparation of annual audits
Ability to implement process change and develop procedures to enhance efficiencies
Manage accounting staff, including accounts payable and seasonal revenue auditor
Provide accounting staff support and guidance in resolving operational challenges
Work on various projects as assigned
