Hansen Management and Maintenance Co. in Tahoe City, CA is hiring pier attendants/boat valets for private piers on Lake Tahoe. Full time and part time hours are available starting immediately through September 7th. Starting wage is $16/hr (plus tips) with a $0.50/hr bonus for each hour worked, if you work through the end of the season.
Job responsibilities include:
-Safely operating a 13' power boat
-Driving members to and from their boats (moored on the private buoy field)
-Providing excellent guest service
-Answering questions, assisting members with their boats, handling money and having members complete buoy lease agreements.
-Enforcing pier rules (no diving, members only, etc.)
-Maintaining cleanliness of the shuttle boats, piers, and equipment
-Lifeguarding- pier attendants relieve lifeguards for their lunch break each shift.

-Boating experience. This job requires you to drive a 13' power boat, pull up to moored boats and piers, and hold steady while owners step on and off. We frequently operate in windy and wavy conditions.
-First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguard certifications are required. We run certification classes if you do not already have them.
-California Boater Card is required. The online class is $10 (we reimburse) and takes 3 hours.
-Desire to be outdoors in a fun, scenic, active work environment.
