We are a busy kayak shop/guide service on Lake Tahoe with two lakefront rental locations and a retail showroom. We are hiring up to 20 new employees for the summer in full and part-time capacities.
If you have experience in in adventure sports retail, rental or guiding/instruction (not necessarily kayaking), your chances of being considered a "qualified" candidate are high. Employee housing (studio apartments for rent) available.
All positions start between May 1st and June 15th, and go (at least) through the end of September. We are looking for people with strong availability (minimal planned time off) during July and August (our peak season).
POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
Logistics Manager - Responsible for making sure trucks, trailers, guides, gear, and food are allocated to tour and rental reservations. Also does sales/reservations.
Kayak & SUP Guide - This on-call position is for individuals who are capable of guiding kayak tours on the lake. CPR and First Aid certifications required. We offer kayak guide/rescue training for those with minimal experience.
Rental Tech - Employees in this position will work on our dock or on the beach, getting customers out on the water with kayaks, stand-up paddleboards.
Retail Salesperson - People in this position will work in our retail showroom and be responsible for greeting customers on the phone and in person, and helping them make decisions about paddlesports purchases.
All applicants must be able to safely lift 50lbs, have a drivers license, and live within an easily commutable distance from our locations in North Lake Tahoe. Basic CPR and 1st aid certs are required for some positions.
