This job opening is located in a locked juvenile detention facility
This position begins July 2019.
Purpose Statement: Under the direction of the classroom teacher, assist in supervising classroom, playground, and community activities of students with disabilities and Juvenile Hall students; present instructional material under the teachers direction to individual students or small groups; relieve teacher of routine clerical duties.
Experience: Successful interaction with children in a classroom or other structured setting, preferably with in a juvenile detention environment.
Education: High school diploma or the equivalent, and two years of college (48 units), or A.A. degree (or higher), or pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction.
