Position: Certified Education Teacher
Start Date: Immediately
Salary: We follow the WCSD salary schedule. Salaries based on education and experience.
Education Requirements: Minimum Bachelor's Degree or related field and be eligible to obtain a Nevada teaching license.
Experience: Candidates are expected to assess students using a spectrum of tools. Candidates are expected to use assessment data to design Personal Learning Plans for all students and deliver high quality instruction using a circle, center, seat model. Candidates are expected to deliver a positive behavior support system that enhances social and emotional growth. Candidates are expected to engage students and their families to support the small school community. Experience in and understanding of these areas are preferred.
Other Requirements: Must meet all certification requirements as a highly qualified kindergarten through eighth grade, or seventh through twelfth. Candidates are expected to understand childhood development and be passionate about teaching children. Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of technology in the classroom setting. Teachers work as a team to develop Personal Learning Plans for every student in all subject areas based on school-wide assessments. Assessment data and Personal Learning Plans are used to design instruction using a small group, center, seat model and ability groups by subject area through promoting choice. Teachers are expected to deliver a positive behavior support system that enhances social and emotional growth. Teachers are expected to engage students and their families to support the small school community.
