Alder Inn is a quaint, centrally-located 24-room inn in beautiful South Lake Tahoe. Built in 1970 and completely renovated in 2011, the Inn offers an inviting atmosphere with large pines on the property, plentiful sitting areas, and family games such as ping-pong and bocce ball. Each of the rooms are individually decorated in various themes. Several quality restaurants are within easy walking distance of Alder Inn. Our Inn offers clean, comfortable, and cozy rooms for you to relax and enjoy your vacation in the mountains.
We are now hiring for the grand opening of our sister hotel, Alder Inn North in Kings Beach, California! Alder Inn North is a 7 Unit property, newly renovated in 2020 to welcome guests on the North Side of Lake Tahoe. We are currently hiring front desk staff and housekeepers for both locations, with an immediate start date and competitive pay as well as hotel perks/discounts.
Housekeeping Job Description and Duties
Cleaning rooms and bungalows for arriving guests and servicing accommodations for guests during their
stay, including: multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, and full kitchen
Responding to guest's requests, stocking carts with supplies needed for cleaning guest rooms and replacing
amenities.
Guaranteeing consistently high quality room services.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including complete weekend and holiday availability
Must have great customer service skills – all of our positions come into contact with guests!
Part time position available; Hours vary by season, 20-35 hrs/week
$14.00/hr
Front Desk Associate Job Description and Duties
The Associate is responsible for welcoming and providing service to guests of the hotel.
Performs a friendly, professional, and timely manner check-in and check-out process for arrivals and
departures
Assigns guest accommodations in accordance with SOPs. Maintains room availability and
reports any issues to supervision.
Maintains knowledge of hotel occupancy status, special events, in-house groups and other situations affecting
the reception desk's daily operation.
Processes guest payments and accounts in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner.
Able to articulate amenities menu and process guests' orders and make reservations on behalf of the guest
Maintains guest folios, ensuring all room charges and credits are recorded in a timely manner.
Brings any problems to the attention of the manager or supervisor on duty.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including complete weekend and holiday availability
Performs related duties as assigned.
Part time position available; Hours vary by season, 20-35 hrs/week
$15.00/hr
