The County of Nevada, California currently seeks a Behavioral Health Therapist I/II/Licensed (temporary) for our Truckee location.

The Behavioral Health Children's division is seeking to hire a licensed therapist or registered intern (for an average of 20 hours per week - 1000 hours max) that will provide assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, collateral/parent counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and documentation of services to a caseload of approximately 12 children/youth who are EPSDT/MediCal beneficiaries. These roles will include active collaboration with county partners including schools, probation, child protective services, substance use treatment providers and family resource centers to meet the individualized needs of youth. In addition, this role includes participation in meetings and assigned training as a member of the Behavioral Health Clinical Team. This position has an emphasis on providing mental health services and collaboration at school sites.

Requirements include (I): a Master's degree from an accredited college or university, or from a school, college, or university that is approved by the Board of Behavioral Sciences, or meeting the educational requirement of 48 semester/trimester or 72 quarter units of master's level coursework to accrue hours for Supervised Professional Experience (SPE), per the Board of Psychology. (II): in addition to the above, completion of supervised clinical experience sufficient to qualify for licensure. (you must have completed 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience and have proof of completion of the 3,000 hours). (Licensed): in addition to the above, possession of a California License with one year of clinical experience in a community mental health program.
