JOB SUMMARY:
Assist Production/Floor Manager is all aspects of production, daily work flow and planning and oversee Quality Control functions.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leads, production personnel, Quality Control personnel
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILIES:
- Ensure that company production processes and procedures are followed
- Ensure that production manager's directives are followed
- Ensure that internal/external quality requirements and expectations are met
- Collaborate with management and Quality Control personnel to implement procedures, systems and standards of operation
- Implement and monitor quality assurance standards to ensure consistent product quality.
- Inspect raw materials, product in process and finished product for quality assurance
- Organize training for Q.C. staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Offer recommendations to management for improved product process and quality.
- Maintain records of quality, production procedures and standards
- Assist the production/floor manager in the daily supervision of team leads and manufacturing personnel, scheduling, disciplinary actions, etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Computer literacy
- Ability to walk/stand for at least 8 hours
- Ability to read/understand/follow instructions both written and verbal
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be team oriented
- Willing and able to work overtime if needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of Production/manufacturing experience
- Supervisory/Management experience is a must
