Nonprofit wellness program, with locations in Placer and Nevada Counties seeks exceptional individual to Coordinate our Truckee and Kings Beach Locations. Our mission is to support the communities we serve with a full spectrum of wellness-focused programs to reduce the social, health and economic impact on families and children from substance abuse and behavioral health issues.

Position Summary:

Manages a program or site under the supervision of the CEO and/or Clinical Director, which includes scheduling, compliance, curriculum and any other related operations. Provides counseling to individuals or groups regarding substance abuse and related behavioral health issues, develops and implements treatment in compliance with all state, federal, agency and all other applicable rules and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum five (5) years recent, full time experience in substance abuse counseling and related administration.

2. Recent experience in Office Administration including financial and program audits, cash deposits, statistical reporting, scheduling of staff/clients and writing/following policy/procedures.

3. Empathy with alcoholics and/or drug abusers.

4. Knowledge of resources, methods, and techniques for pre-sobriety and early recovery alcoholism/addiction counseling.

5. Experience in teaching and group facilitation.

6. Knowledge of legal and administrative requirements for the State and DUI/DDP programs (SB-1344 and/or SB-38) and other agency programs.

7. Demonstrated ability to lead and control groups.

8. Ability to communicate in writing and verbally.

9. Knowledge of legal confidentiality requirements.

10. Experience in supervising counselors and administrative staff.

11. Ability to present a professional image to the Community.

12. Ability to perform case management and administrative duties.

13. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with peers, supervisors, and organization authorities.

14. If a recovering alcoholic/addict, a minimum of five years continuous sobriety and active participation in a program of recovery.

EDUCATION:

1. CAC or CADC or ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of assuming position and specific experience that provides the skills and knowledge needed.

2. In depth experience in group facilitation.

3. Experience at staff in-service training.

4. Knowledge of computer case management. (Word, Excel, Outlook)

5. General knowledge of 12-step programs and principles.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES:

1. Supervise counselors and assigned volunteers, all programs.

2. Facilitate staff training (including staffing weekly, Safety Drills, Site oversite)

3. Carry a caseload in and conduct face to face interviews and group sessions.

4. Collect fees and make deposits.

5. Maintain Monthly Contracts – with courts, DMV and other referral sources.

6. Perform crisis management and evaluations.

7. Referral – To other agencies as appropriate to client needs.

8. Conduct Intake/Exit Interviews

9. Administrative Responsibilities – Including charting, correspondence, filing, and liaison.

a. Online charting for groups and individual counseling.

b. Maintain daily statistical reports for end of month allocation submissions.

c. Review individual caseload charts monthly to confirm accuracy and compliance with client contract.

d. Period cross-auditing of client files with other counselors.

e. Perform monthly censuses of participants receiving services (DUI, O/C, Adolescent, BIP, etc.) and evaluate quarterly with CEO.

10. Perform Other Office and Community Activities – As may be required to balance workload within the Agency and other contract services to Nevada County Mental Health such as Crisis Management. Hot-line monitoring, Drop-in Client Center counseling and referral.
