Tracks issuance/return of Cellular Telephones for patient related usage.Gives routine information regarding the work of a division or location of an office or employee; receives callers from the Health and HumanServices "800" number 24 hours a day as well as receive and direct calls Units / Departments as well as receive and direct calls for the Departmentof Corrections, Children and Youth Services and the Division of Mental Health.Calls Units / Departments or other offices to determine whether or not physicians or other personnel are on duty.Receives and is responsible for registered mail, special delivery mail and telegrams.Makes frequent contacts with the general public and state employees requiring the answering of routine inquiries, referring the more difficultquestions to a supervisor.Screens and signs in visitors/vendors and issues visitor passes, maintains a visitor log. Receives and relays phone messages for employees / officesas assigned.Issues/tracks Hospital issued pagers to appropriate staff members. Supplies replacement batteries to assigned staff pagers.Staff Workplace Safety AccountabilitiesComplies with established hospital and departmental policies and procedures by:- performing accountabilities in accordance with established policies and procedures;- communicating with supervisors issues related to workplace safety (i.e., ergonomics, body mechanics, environment, equipment );reporting on the job injuries to supervisor IMMEDIATELY;- attending training programs, as appropriate.Total Commitment to QualityParticipates in the process of continuous quality improvement by supporting unit/department based quality improvement activities.
