In this role you will be responsible for answering incoming calls and/or emails, communicating information related to specific benefits and coverages, and providing claim status updates.Responsibilities

Delivering exceptional customer service via both telephone and email contacts.

Adheres to contact center guidelines regarding phone activity to ensure our ability to service customers timely.

Providing inquiry information including: status of claims and benefits eligibility

Ability to interact with all customers including: claimants, providers, group administrators, brokers, regional sales offices, internal Claims Examiners, and other departments.

Ability to obtain the knowledge necessary to supports customers on Group Dental, Disability, Life and AD&D inquiries.

Researches policy requests and contract provisions through use of multiple systems and reference materials.

Meet departmental goals including Average Handle Time, Schedule Adherence, and Quality.

Adheres to corporate regulations regarding confidentiality and privacy of information.

EducationHigh school diploma/GEDRequired Experience

Ability to multitask and navigate multiple systems

Verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of MS Office: Word and Excel

Preferred Experience

1+ years of customer service experience within an insurance claims environment

Shift/Scheduled Hours

Schedule availability will be based on current business need

Must be available to work until 8pm EST

Center hours of operation are Mon – Thu 8am – 8pm EST and Fri 8am – 6:00pm EST

Background Check

Must be able to pass a complete background check to include drug screen, verification of employment, criminal history, and education.
