BASIC FUNCTION:The Desktop Support Technician I will be responsible for Tier 1 tech support tickets, generally related to user experience. The candidate will be working very closely with our users to enhance their technology experience and efficiency.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Regularly tending to help desk tickets, and escalation when necessary
Participation in a 1-week-on / 2-weeks-off on-call rotation schedule
Assist new hires with setting up initial onboarding preferences
Installation/replacement of workstations / monitors
Installation/replacement of Printers / Scanners
Installation/upgrade of software on end user’s computer
Remote support of branch employees
Set up users’ smart phones to receive work email
General PC repair
Some degree of user training
Creating Documentation for policies that users will need to follow
Supporting Outlook, Skype and SharePoint
Initial troubleshooting of production applications like Loan Origination System
Diagnosing Application and Hardware issues
Basic network connectivity support (WIFI and wired)
Assisting in hardware and software inventory and roll-outs
Some travel may be required
And other duties as required
REQUIREMENTSHigh School DiplomaExperience with Windows operating systems, iPhone, iPad, and Android devicesExcellent Customer Service/Interpersonal SkillsStrong troubleshooting skillsAttention to detailQuick LearnerPLUS ANY COMBINATION OF THE FOLLOWING:IT Industry Certifications such as CompTI A+, Linux+, and Network+; 2 years of IT experience; Associates Degree in IT related disciplinePHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is required to effectively communicate verbally. The employee must be able to effectively operate a keyboard/mouse. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-15 pounds.
