Job Description Our client is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to assist with the growing complexity and demand for server technologies. A qualified candidate must have a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in supporting and maintaining Windows Server Active Directory, VMware virtualization, enterprise data backup, and Microsoft Exchange environments. A candidate with prior experience in working independently and managing a small office's IT environment is a plus.
Responsibilities: Assists with the overall system and infrastructure availability Assists with the day to day system administration, server infrastructure and system backups Monitor business critical processes and systems VMware support and administration Storage management Assists in the planning and implementation of upgrades needed to maintain service and patch levels Develops and assists in the replacement of infrastructure at the end of life Assists in maintaining and improving server and network performance, reliability and security Preparation and testing of Disaster Recovery procedures Direct involvement in incidents and problems that cause service impact and act as an escalation point for incidents not being resolved in a timely manner Establish standards and best practices for managing server and cloud infrastructure Work with the Desktop Engineering team to set SLA criteria for the availability and performance of IT infrastructure
