The New Hampshire Job Corps Center is seeking a dynamic, positive Dorm Supervisor to be a part of a thriving team! The New Hampshire Job Corps Center is a federally funded, residential vocational training facility. Our mission is to provide cost-free, career-based technical and academic training along with job placement assistance to low-income youths ages 16-24.

Qualifications & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school preferred.

A minimum of one year of human services experience or one year of Job Corps or related experience required.

A valid in- State Drivers License required.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities:

Supervises and manages residential dorm staff.

Responsible for interviewing candidates to fill dorm staff vacancies in a timely manner.

Coordinates staff coverage to ensure student areas are supervised including maintaining an active list of substitute Residential Advisors to fill staff vacancies and callouts.

Effectively motivates, empowers and requires staff to perform his/her job responsibilities. Motivates and manages staff to work effectively, create a supportive work environment, recognizes staff accomplishments and proactively addresses staff performance concerns.

Ensures the physical security of the dorm area and reports concerns to senior management.

Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population.

Mentors, monitors, and models the Career Success Standards as required by the companys policies.

Responsible for providing students with comprehensive and individualized case management ensuring student progress, retention and completion of the Job Corps program. Establishes supportive/mentoring relationships with students throughout their enrollment.

Responsible for overseeing student dorm leadership program.

May transport students to and from Center.

Other duties as assigned.

Salary: $37,000 annually
