Research/Data Entry/Customer Service Clerk

mSDS Source (www.msdssource.biz) is looking for a Research/Data Entry/Customer Service Clerk to find and enter information into our database from pdf documents as well as research manufacturer and product information via the internet. We need someone who is good at communicating with our clientele in a clear and consistent manner. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and an excellent/accurate typist with a keen eye for detail. You will report daily to the Customer Service/Data Entry Manager. This person will be self-disciplined and works well independently as this is a work from Home Office opportunity for the right individual. MSDS SOURCE will rely on you for having accurate and updated data that is easily accessible online.
Responsibilities
Internet Researching. Taking data provided directly by customers and researching their
vendors/product information in order to capture Safety Data Sheets.
Transfer info from Safety Data Sheets into our computer program and upload into the
MSDS SOURCE online database.
Calling manufacturers to obtain Safety Data Sheets online
Verify data by comparing it to source documents
Updating existing data already in our online database.
Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
Requirements
Experience as data entry clerk is helpful but not necessary
Excellent typing skills.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel etc.
Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
Great attention to detail
High school diploma or equivalent
Pay/Benefits
Starting pay is $14.00/Hr.
