AMC’s Cardigan Lodge and Reservation is located in New Hampshire’s center, the Lakes Region. The Lodge accommodates 62, there are 21 campsites and a high cabin up on the mountain’s rocky shoulder. Accessible by road, only two hours from Boston, we live in 21,000 acres of uninhabited woodlands, far from outside distractions. We have 50 miles of trails, a large and diverse wildlife population, varied upland/ woodland flora, and best of all, a very friendly and inquisitive pool of guests.

The job goes from January to April, possibly longer if you want to stick around for our summer season. On-site housing is available for seasonal employees at a very reasonable cost.

Duties will include:

Prepare, serve, and cleanup breakfasts and dinners

Clean all facilities daily

Greet, register, and assist guests and hikers

Answer questions and give trail advice

Sell clothing, publications, and other supplies

Help cleanup and maintain campsites

Occasionally assist the Naturalists in guest education

The AMC requires all employees who work in a program or facility which serves children, disabled persons, or the elderly to have a criminal background record check performed on their name annually with employment contingent upon satisfactory results .
