Easterseals Residential and Educational program is a great place to match your love for cooking with serving children.
We have immediate needs for 2 full time cooks, pick the hours that suit you best. We also have an opening for a Food Service Assistant, Part time 2PM-7PM.
Do you like early morning hours, Monday - Friday from 6:30AM-2:30PM with rotating weekends every third week 6:30AM-2:30PM. Then come on board to be our breakfast and lunch cook. In this role you will be responsible for serving breakfast and lunch for our schools as well as cooking Breakfast and Lunch on your scheduled weekends. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, ensuring proper portions, and following state recommended guidelines. You will be responsible to help maintain a safe and sanitary work environment, comply with all health regulations and open and or close the kitchen area.
Would you prefer to start mid-day, Monday-Friday, 11AM-7PM position, with rotating
weekend coverage every third week. Then come on board to be our dinner cook. In this role you will be the cook for our dinner service. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals and ensuring proper portions and closing nightly. You will be responsible to help maintain a safe and sanitary work environment and comply with all health regulations.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a cook, preferably with experience in a long term care facility or institutional facility. Experience with special food preparation including grounds and purees, as well as other special dietary needs is a bonus. Candidates should have strong abilities to be creative with food and be able to follow dietary guidelines for our clientele. A culinary degree or years of experience is preferred. A valid driver's license, good overall driving record, reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance is required. A motor vehicle and criminal background check are part of the hiring process.
