Gusanoz is seeking a salaried manager to work within our management team in the front and back of house. This is a hands-on position woking with a solid experienced staff who will have high expectations of your drive, professionalism and work ethic.
Experience matters, but if this would be your first salaried management position we would still be happy to consider you for the position. If you're serious about your occupation, enjoy people, making money and are a happy, positive go-getter, this is probably the job for you! Oh, and integrity. That's very important too. We'd rather know you don't know something than have you pretend, and you'll be working with money and people's livelihoods. They have to know they can count on you.
Gusanoz Mexican Restaurant is a family owned establishment in our 15th year of business in Lebanon, NH. Our staff of 35 people is diverse and though our location is fairly small, we do a tremendous amount of business serving dine-in guests, to-go orders and an average of two or three caterings weekly. We make virtually all of our food from scratch with only a few exceptions where we use a base for a sauce or a frozen product for a kids meal. Our tortillas are made in NYC and brought up weekly. Our cooks MUST learn how to make our food in a safe, consistent and fast manner in a busy environment. We have very little turnover with our employees staying several years on average and some who have made our restaurant their home since we opened. We spend our money on our people and on ensuring that they have the tools that they need to be successful including functioning equipment, an air-conditioned kitchen and all the small wares necessary. The owners are on site daily and are heavily involved in the operations, and while they expect high standards there is also an expectation that once an employee is trained they will not need to be micromanaged. Regardless of your age or experience, we want you to be fully involved and invested in the success of the business and of your own career. Passion for food and excellence in presentation and safety is a must. If movies like Burnt and Chef and shows like Chopped get your heart pumping, we may be the place for you!
