The North Side Grille is 20 minutes or less from the surrounding Nashua and Manchester areas. We have been in business for 6+ years. We are an American Fare restaurant serving high quality comfort food. Currently we serve all three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner 6am-10pm.) We are looking for the right person to add to our leadership/management team. Someone that not only is a good fit, but also seeks longevity and growth with our team.

The right candidate should be experienced, qualified, and passionate culinary oriented person. To help organize the kitchen’s activities, work with other kitchen leaders and lead our kitchen to success. This is for a PM/Evening position.

Responsibilities

Works and cooks in the kitchen

Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities

Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings

Approve and “polish” dishes before they reach the customer

Plan orders of ingredients according to identified shortages

Arrange for repairs when necessary

Remedy any problems or defects

Managing, leading and training kitchen staff

Oversee the work of subordinates

Estimate staff’s workload and compensations

Maintain records attendance

Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers

Skills

Proven experience as head chef/ kitchen manger/ Culinary Leadership.

Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management

Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress

Outstanding communication and leadership skills

Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes

Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management apps, POS, Social Media apps )

Credentials in health and safety training

Job Type: Full-time

Experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.

At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.

Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time

Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
