Line Cook Job Summary and Responsibilites

Line Cook's report to the Executive Chef for all tasks concerning Back of House operations. They are primarily responsible for executing the preparation of menu items consistent and cohesive to the core fundamentals of Bad Lab Beer Co. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Preparation and portioning of food items to standardized recipes ensuring that food is prepared and served as designed by the chef reflecting the current menu

Proper handling and storage of pre-prepped and ready to eat (RTE) food, practice of food safety, first in - first out (FIFO) and serve safe standards

Keeping line and designated station fully and appropriately stocked for all food items, small wares, and disposables

Notifying management and hourly staff of all out of stock and low prepared food items

Maintaining an organized, clean and safe work environment

Designated daily opening and closing responsibilities

Completion of side work duties such as oiling wooden cutting boards, soaking/cleaning kitchen equipment, cleaning floor mats, sweeping, mopping, removal of trash, compost, and recycling, etc

Helping to keep a positive work environment

Must be able to stand on your feet for extended periods, ability to lift 50lbs, and have reliable transportation to and from work

Key attributes include punctuality, the ability to multitask, having a sense of urgency, being able to communicate well with others, personal hygiene and an eagerness to learn and grow within the company

Dishwasher Job Description

Purpose:

A dishwasher will report to the Sous Chef and the Executive Chef for all tasks concerning the kitchen. They are responsible for the cleanliness of the dish pit and equipment area and for the cleanliness of all tableware and kitchen equipment.

Duties include, but not limited to:

- Running a commercial Dish machine

- Handwashing kitchen equipment and other items

- Adhering to proper 3 bay sink washing procedure

- Putting away kitchen and tableware equipment properly

- Keeping all kitchen and tableware equipment organized

- Making sure that bus station is clean and organized

- Being able to lift 50lbs

- Preparing and portioning food items when necessary

- Practice food safety and FIFO (First In First Out)

- Proper storage of food

- Keeping a neat and clean work environment

- Making sure side work is being completed at the end of night

(Oil charcuterie boards, soaking/cleaning kitchen equipment, running mats, sweeping, and mopping)

- Taking out Trash, compost, and recycling

- Maintaining a good personal hygiene

- Helping keep a positive work environment

- Being able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time

- Being Punctual
